Arawai is a meaningful term in Te Reo Māori, translating to "waterway" in English. It embodies the essence of fluidity, connectivity, and the delicate balance of nature. Arawai represents the spirit of stewardship and respect for our water resources, reflecting a commitment to engineering solutions that preserve and enhance the vitality of our precious waterways.

    I love the diversity of my job. No two jobs are the same. I also love that I get to work within a community of professionals who are passionate about their roles in delivering land and infrastructure for the community.

    How Michael is spending his downtime

    Weightlifting and surfing are my go-to hobbies, and I'm a bit of a tech geek who loves building computers. I'm lucky to have an awesome group of friends and family that I enjoy hanging out with.

    I love the opportunity to use my skills, knowledge and experience to the benefit of Arawai’s clients; particularly to maintain and enhance rural water supply schemes which, on and off, have been part of my professional life over many years.

    How Colin is spending his downtime

    I'm involved in Local Government affairs, with a particular interest in Climate Change and Public Transport. You'll often find me at the NP Chess Club for a game of chess, or jogging in the community. I also enjoy hanging out with political and work colleagues in my free time.

    I enjoy being a Senior Development Engineer as my role involved working with developers, contractors and members of the community on a daily basis and as part of this role I was able to implement positive changes in the community.

    I like being involved and I have a passion to bring about change.

    How Peter is spending his downtime

    I enjoy family time and my hobbies, especially all types of fishing - either from a kayak, boat or from the shore surf casting. I am also a member of The Westown Golf Club where I play golf twice a week and are also an active course volunteer.

    I'm an avid traveller, exploring Australia and NZ through extensive caravanning. My free time includes regular laps at the pool, daily dog walks, and joining in various water sports.
