Arawai

1. (noun) waterway — a river, canal, or other route for travel by water.

Arawai is a meaningful term in Te Reo Māori, translating to "waterway" in English. It embodies the essence of fluidity, connectivity, and the delicate balance of nature. Arawai represents the spirit of stewardship and respect for our water resources, reflecting a commitment to engineering solutions that preserve and enhance the vitality of our precious waterways.

    I love the diversity of my job. No two jobs are the same. I also love that I get to work within a community of professionals who are passionate about their roles in delivering land and infrastructure for the community.

    Weightlifting and surfing are my go-to hobbies, and I'm a bit of a tech geek who loves building computers. I'm lucky to have an awesome group of friends and family that I enjoy hanging out with.

    • Steve has international experience having worked for extended periods in Cambodia, PNG and Australia.

    I'm an avid traveller, exploring Australia and NZ through extensive caravanning. My free time includes regular laps at the pool, daily dog walks, and joining in various water sports.

    Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on one of my ever-growing collection of mountain bikes, exploring local and nationwide trails. I really value time with my children and grandson, and like to unwind by spinning my alternative rock vinyl collection.
